I have owned a Jeep Cherokee for the last 8 years and loved it. It was very reliable, easy to work on, and not too expensive to fix. I'd like to get another one but they're out of my budget. So I'm thinking of jumping brands.

Do you Ford guys think a Ranger (or maybe a F150) or would right for me? I hear a lot of good things. Would I be able to spend about $2500 for one a get about five years out of it?
