Default 1988 Ranger Stalling

New to site and thank you in advance to any help. I had purchased a 1988 Ford Ranger as a hobby vehicle. While it runs good I have an issue of stalling. It just started happening two weeks ago. I can drive it an hours drive and no problem. On the drive back after sitting for an hour it will act as if it runs out of gas. It will not start and seems to be out of gas. After sitting for 1/2 hour it starts up and may run for the next two days without an issue. Then do the same thing. The fuel pump was replaced 1 year ago and I cleaned the MAF and IAC. When it does stall it is when braking. The motor is a 2.3 with fuel injection.

There could be a problem with the brake booster or the brake booster hose.
When was it the last time you serviced the spark plugs wires and such?

my son's 98 just started the same, change the plugs, checked fuel, starts but then chokes and stalls out. Drove it from work had peddle to the floor to maintain 20mph.
Sensor?

Plugs and all wires were changed 9 months ago. Not sure how a brake booster pump could affect the stalling of the vehicle?

On a stall, check it for spark just to be sure its there. Was common for the ignition module to fail. Once cooled, will restart...

A vacuum leak at the brake booster could affect the fuel mixture, therefore prevent starting or causing stalling.

Go the other way around: check vacuum leaks first.
