starts but stalls but not all the time
I've got an 02 ranger 4.0 sohc that has a stalling problem with no codes. I have replaced the IAC and the TPS cleaned the MAF an the throttle body and searched for vacuum leaks, Ford
said the computer needed to be updated so I had them do it, no luck still stalls. when ice cold the truck will start and run fine, after it worms up it starts to stall also stalls wile driving shudders, jumping gears. This is driving me crazy so any help would be great.

I know this sounds basic but I have a 91 ranger and I did just about the same with a simular issue, I also changed the TPS , fuel filter, and the alternator. Also check the fuel injectors, fuel pressure,(could be a fuel pump issue if low pressure, also pressure can be a fuel modulator. If there is a idle set screw follow the instructions somewhere on this site to do so, it may be set to low. The tps and computer will hold a higher idle until warm. Also check into the MAF. hope this helps.

sounds like it might be a TCC locking up and killing your motor...read the thread at https://www.fordforum.com/forum/ford-explorer-20/stalls-drive-1998-explorer-sport-sohc-15771/ to see if this fits your symptoms..

sounds like a classic IAC problem...
if IAC is good...make sure the IAC circuit is operating correctly. Pull the IAC off the intake...leave plugged in and have a partner turn ignition off and on a few times. look inside the IAC and make sure piston is moving to seal the bypass. You dont need to start engine...
good luck
