Post 2008 4.0 V6 throwing cylinder 5 code

Replaced wires and ignition coil. No change. Took intake manifold off to check injectors and found oil in manifold. The throat in number 6 was clean and smooth but 4&5 show a build up of some sort, definitely not smooth.

Any possible answers why oil was found?

What did the seals look like when you removed the intake manifold ? If worn , it can allow oil to get past and wind up in the intake runner..

They all looked good. Could a valve be a problem?

Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. Keep in mind there is vacuum available at those seals and it can allow oil to be drawn in .
