2008 Ford Escape No CEL, code p303
Hi Everybody! New here…. I have an issue I’m a little stumped on..
I have a 2008 Ford Escape 3.0 V6 AWD limited.
a week ago I had to replace the battery and PCV valve. I had a shop look it over and diagnose it and then repaired it myself. While I was there I also did spark plugs, oil change, air filter. The normal tune up, really. I get it all back together and ran like a top for 2 days and then suddenly started missing between 1400 and 1900 RPM with no CEL…. Staying above that it ran great all the way home. The next day it was far worse, missing more, jerking a bit, low on power. I hooked up my innova 3040rs and did a drive cycle on it and finally pulled code P0303 but still no light. I tore it back down found a bad coil on cylinder 3 plugs looked fine all the way around. Got it back together and it’s still just as bad, no codes without doing thr cycle… any thoughts, suggestions?

Things to look at for your # 3 misfire. Hopefully, you used OEM Motorcraft parts, especially the coil.
Plug, coil/ its boot and its wiring , injector, injector wiring/connector, vacuum leak(s) and compression issues associated with the # 3 cylinder. For diagnostic purposes, I would still swap the #3 coil with another cylinder and recheck codes. The injector can also be swapped with another cylinder.I would not drive it till you solve the problem to prevent possible damage to your converter.
Did you clear the code after you worked on it?
