Hello everyone, not much of an 'expert' but I have a question about my wife's 2001 Ford Taurus, check engine light comes on and we get it checked, apparently piston 1 is misfiring causing the car to 'shudder' especially in cold weather.

We replaced all wires and plugs but problem persists...

can the coil pack effect just one cylinder?

I really appreciate any help

 

The coil can cause just one cylinder misfire. Also a bad injector or a bad connection on the injector can cause a misfire.
