Default 1995 Taurus 3.0 V6

Hello

Well today I jumped in my ride to go to the store. I crunk the car and it was idling pretty highwhichit never done before. So I tap thegas to see if the padel was stuck of something and it still was idling pretty high.So I tap the padel a couple more times and then everything went back to normal idle. The I got out on the road and everything was goodfor a couple of miles thenthecar started to speed up WITHOUT me pushing thegas. So I put on the brakes to slow down and you could feel the car pull aganist the brakes. It was like I was driving with one foot on the gas and the other the brake. So then I tap the gas padel a couple of times real quickand eveything went back to normal. Got to the store turn the car offand did what ever I had to do. Got back in the car crunk it up it did the same thing idled highso I tap the gas a few times and it went to normal. So I put it in drive and Im off went maybe 100 feet the car started to speed up again and it does it off and on on the way home.

A guy across the street had a car that when he crunk it up the idle would go up down up down etc. But he never said nothing about the car speeding by its self.

Can anyone help me out this is the only car I have and I have to drive it to get to work and so forth.

Thanks

Are there any trouble codes? Do you have cruise control, does it act any different if you turn it off? Can you physically check the throttle valve and linkages? Can you check the tPS signal?
