1997 Ford Taurus Seized Engine
hopefully somebody can look before sunday i have a problem here it goes i drove my taurus on the highway and my oil like came on and just stalled now never drove after that i tried starting it up and the you can hear the start try to engage now i check the oil was fine where it was suppose to me now i took the starter out and had it hooked up and it engages but spins really slow now could that be from me trying to start it tryied turning the flywheel and didnt budget i think because of pressure now im hearing so many stories that it would make noise befor it seizes or be quite. plz somebody get backed asap going to get a starter from junkyard tryied turning the engine from crankshaft but didnt budget also did not take out plugs neither

First you have to be sure the battery is fully charged.
Then remove the spark plugs and see if the engine will turn over freely.
If not , there may be some engine damage internally.
If it spins over easily without the plugs in it, it is not seized.
Did you hear an kind of chirping noise before it stopped?
If so, look into the oil pump system for possible fault and not pumping oil through the engine. Cam position sensor housing may be involved.
Then remove the spark plugs and see if the engine will turn over freely.
If not , there may be some engine damage internally.
