1998 Ford Taurus stalls when left in park.
Hey Everyone. I'm new to the forum, and i have only limited mechanical experience. I purchased a 1998 Taurus a few days ago and just recently noticed a problem. When i leave the car in park, the idle speed hits a little above 2000 rpm then slowly drops to under 1000 until eventually the engine stalls.
I have done a few searches in the forum and i havent found anything about cars in park, only cars that are coming to a stop at a light signal or stop sign. (When the car is in drive). I havent yet had a problem while driving the car, only when it is parked.
Any suggestions or responses are greatly appreciated.

RE:
Did some more research. Looks like it could be any number of problems. IAC, MAF, O2 sensors. (Its not o2 sensors, they were just replaced.)
Anyone have any idea how much these repairs cost? i was able to find the cost of the parts but im more concerned about the average cost of labor.
