Hello I think I FINALLY figured out HOW to start my own post! lol <<<Blonde... Anyway, I am a single mom having major problems with my front subframe rusting out & my oil pan too & can not afford to buy another car at this time. I have heard that 98 was also a bad year for the metal Ford used in subframes. Has anyone heard this? Can anyone guide me as to what I can do about this very serious problem? The car has not even hit 110K yet! :-( Other then this (& my door handles sticking bad,) it seems to run pretty good. HELP! Also any tips on those door handles freezing up, even in the summer? ;-) Thank u for your time & help! Meg

 

spray door hinges with power blaster from home depot about three bucks. pb blaster. the frame you gota go to a weld shop. should not be too bad.
