My wifes 00 Taurus 3.0 with 125K has developed an engine miss at idle only. Scanner says cylinder 1 misfire & cylinder 2 misfire. Plugs & wires were replaced & codes cleared & ran fine for a day & then started same miss at idle again with the same codes. New injectors were installed & codes cleared & again same problem. Tried used coil pack & same problem. Ford garage says it might be computor but even if it isnt I would still have to pay for the NEW computor. It runs fine off idle & I would just live with it but in New York state it will not pass annual inspection with codes stored. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.

 

I had the same problem. Thought it was going to be bad, $$$ but it ended up being a broken hose at the PVC valve. The hose is a formed part. it split at the elbow that attaches to the PVC.
I cut the hose and used a new PVC valve that had an elbow built onto it. That way the hose can stay straight. Cant remember the Part #.
If you hear an air sucking noise with the hood open, you may have the same problem.
