2000 taurus wont start
If anyOne can help I would appreciate. I came out of work last night and my Taurus wouldnt start. I called an dtow truck and he checked it by spraying starter fluid on it and told me my fuel pump appeared to be out. My husband still checked the fuse and relay and they were Ok. He then installed a new fuel pump with assembly. When he went to start it, it is getting gas to the engine but still is not starting. The battery was dead so he did try to jump it but still no start. Also when you turned the car to on you couldnt hear the fuel pump before and you can now so it appears that the fuel pump was at least part of the problem but not everything. Any suggestions would help I need to get to work.
Were you able to confirm whether there was spark available to the plugs? If not, the signal from the crank sensor , goes to the ign module , then to the coils, All these items will need to be checked out. Let us know what you find, Thanks
