Default 2004 All warning lights stay on after starting

I have a new problem with my 2004 Taurus.
Seems worse on cold (25 degrees) mornings but may not be related to temperature.

Starts immediately but runs rough for 1 or 2 seconds then normal.

All warning lights on the instrument panel: ABS, fuel door, etc stay on.

When I switch off the engine and re-start all lights go off.

Car runs well. Approx 125K. Check engine is not on.

Could this be low battery voltage on a cold morning?

Default All instrument panel warnings stay on

JayKay - I'm having exact same problem with my 2004 Sable. Odometer window went black, then next start up, states "Driver Door Ajar" and other warning indicators (gas cap, ABS, etc) remain lit.
Did you ever get solution? Does anyone have an answer...?

Default New battery solved my problem

I had purchased a new battery from the dealer a few years ago which still had some of the pro-rated warranty. So I replaced the battery again and have not had another problem.
Walmart would have been the next cheapest solution. Their batteries are probably no better or worse than any others and they are good about the warranty. Hope this helps.

Also, e-mail notification that you have a reply to a post is very helpful. I don't check this board often and would not have seen this without the e-mail notification.
