I have a 2013 Taurus Limited. Great car! Enjoy the backup feature. Great gas mileage. Super pickup. Beautiful looking car and get compliments on it. Here comes the dropping boot! I have turned the lighting up as high as it will go for the dash, but the speedometer, 85% of the time, is invisible. I can't make out the speed. I am wondering if a light has burned out, if such exists?? If it does exist, where is its location and how difficult is it to replace?

 

I just posted a similar problem with my Taurus. The speedometer dims at night or in an indoor garage when it should be the brightest. I cant get an answer for this issue.

 

 

I just cant understand that a dimming feature is normal under low light conditions. To me it should be the opposite.

 

 

I have turned off the auto dimming option to no avail.

 

 

The dimmer button is at it's highest level at all times. Any higher and the dome lights activate.
