Default 91 Taurus oil pan

I am trying to take off my oil pan on my 91 Taurus. I had to take my starter out already to get all of the bolts off the oil pan. The oil pan is loose and hanging, but the catilitic converter is right below it holding it up. I figured if I got all the bolts off I could just tilt the oil pan the right way and it would slide out nice. My question is, do I have to take off my cat (including the pipes going to the manifold), or is there any other possible way to get my oil pan out? Thank you so much in advance, and I just wanna say that this has to be one of the poorest under car designs I have ever seen on any car.

[sm=welcomesign.gif]I have had luck with taking the 2 motor mount bolt's out and jacking up the front of the motor and bringing it out the front.
