97 Ford Taurus camshaft position sensor

97 Ford Taurus camshaft position sensor
I have a 97 Ford Taurus, v6 3.0 liter, Valcon engine. I took it in to be smogged (Calif). It did not pass.
The only failure was a code P0340 camshaft position sensor CKT malfunction.
Where is this "sensor" and is it hard to change. Any suggestions.
