my 98 taurus wont stay running one day it wouldn start tried jumping it and my positive cable was lose so it arked off of the cable and it wouldn start by that either, changed starter and it started, then next morning the battery light was on so i changed the alternator and it went off then on my way home it lost all power and died so i put a new battery in it and it started and ran for another 30 min and lost all power and died took my alternator off and had it tested and it came back good, so i took it home put it back on started and unhooked the battery cable and the car died, idk whats causing my car not stay running, but the alternator and battery are new and good. any help at all would be greatly appreciated thank you mike

 

i cant find a bad wire didnt look really hard but what i did look best i could today and didn see a bad wire

 

i was told if u hook up your poisitive battery cable and u keep getting spark when u put your negative cable on that u have a short somewhere so i pulled every fuse in my car and the sparks stopped and one by one i starting putting fuses back in til the constant sparking started again and when i put the wiper and vaps fuse in it started doing it again? what is vaps?
