Hi, I'm currently debating the purchase of a 1998 Taurus with 102K miles. The car is very solid yet, but I noticed one thing while driving it; Upon the transmission shifting from 1st to 2nd, it has a mild jerk......I'm thinking its just a mild synchro problem, and that it won't be of a major concern to me, considering it doesn't do this when shifting to any other gear. The transmission fluid is fine; does not smell burnt. If someone has any additional info regarding this, please let me know.
