The wipers on my taurus seem to have a mind of their own, after I drive it for awhile they just come on all by themselves! They will make a pass or two then nothing for a few more minutes and they they come on again. And then the other day the display on my radio went out. Someone told me it could be the GEM module, but the dealer told me it would be $250 for the part. Any ideas?

 

I think the GEM mod controls a bunch of stuff....behind the steering column if I'm not mistaken. Could be the problem.
