i started my 98 taurus dohc with a six cyl motor and the red battery lite stayed on for a few seconds. it never did this before. it drives fine did not die and hasnt done it again. what do you think.

temporary loss of charging voltage, if it repeats it could indicate the necessity to replace alternator.
