DTC P0401 isEGR Insufficient flow Detected....

The EGR system is monitored during steady driving conditions while the EGR is commanded to On..Fails when the signal from the DPFEsensor indicates that EGR flow is less than the desired minimum

Possible causes....
.
Vacuum supply, EGR valve leaks vacuum/stuck closed, EGR flow path restriction, EGRVR circuit shorted to PWR, VREF open to DPFE sensor, DPFE sensor downstream hose off or plugged, EGRVR circuit open to PCM, VPWR open to EGRVR solenoid, DPFE sensor hoses both off or reversed, damaged/restricted EGR orifice tube, Damaged EGRVR solenoid ....

DPFE sensors commonly fail ....

DTC P1744 is TCC (torque converter clutch) excessive slip detected during full TCC engagement.

Is this a high mileage unit?.. A 3.0 (2V) ?

Letting the TCC slip isn't a good idea if severe.. Especially if its an electrical component failure and a relatively easy fix.. The converter is a bit harder for a repair if its not the cause.. If equiped with a transmission control switch (TCS) cancel out the OD...

If its city driving without much OD application it would be less of a problem...

What kind of driving are you doing? City or more highway use?

If your running at freeway speeds and you can easily detect a 'slip' then you might want to slow and cancel the OD on grades ect... If the reason for the stored DTC and the cause of theTCC slipping is due to a bad TCC solenoid or circuit, then you don't want to ruin the converter or trans.. If the torque converter clutch is going south, that letting it slip (if not severe) isn't a huge deal especially if a trans build or a reman will be the fix.. But anything slipping isn't a good idea.. Slipping generates heat 'quickly' and can cause other parts to fail...Did they give you a service advisory as to the repair?

DPFE is probably the problem, and I agree with Hayapower, if you can avoid driving in OD till it is looked at professionally it may save you large repair.
