I have a 1998 Tarus, that i need to replace the engine in. I bought a used 3.0. The problem is the 1998 engine is all computer . The replacement engine has a distrubor.(eltronic) I assume the wiring harness and computer will not interchange. So can i swap the crank position sincer, and cam position sincer, and make this work? What else will i need to do? Both engines are 3.0 `s. Please advise me on what to do. The 98 Tarus is a great car, and i want to keep it. Have a very good day, and include some fun in it.
