Default Power Steering Pump 98 Taurus

Greetings Ford Forum members, it's a pleasure to be on your site. Although I'm not a Ford owner, a beautiful young lady that I helped purchase one does. Okay her power steering went out and she had a mech put a new one on, now the problem the guys says he's having is that the hose keeps bursting. I have not heard whether it breaks loose from a clamp or if the pressure is bursting the hose outright (this seems impossible ,but who knows.

Im hoping to get some help here as her car has been tied up for a few days. I've had to opportunity to search the forum for taurus but could not find her problem so here is my post.

THanks in advance.

As a mechanic I will say I have never seen or heard of this problem.

Look under the drivers side front of the engine. There is a power steering filter there. Replace it and see if it helps any.
