Anybody pulled a pop up camper with a Taurus wagon? We have a 2000 3.0 V6 wagon. Looking at the maual it looks like it can only pull 750 lbs. That seems crazy. The camper I am looking at buying is 1750 lbs.

 

I haven't pulled anything with the Taurus, but I'd go with what the manual says. Even if the engine has the power to pull 1750lbs up a hill the brakes probably aren't designed to slow you down with the trailer going down the same hill. If you've modified it at all (better brakes) then I'd check with the manufacturer of the brakes to see what it is rated for.
