My transmission in my 1996 Ford Taurus crapped out on me. I need to find a transmission fast and cheap. I am wondering if anyone knows a site or place that sells good transmissions cheap and in good quality. And also I was wondering if I have to get the exact match for my car or any type or Ford Transmission thank you.

 

Do you want a new one or a used one? If used is good enough and there is a Pull-A-Part near you that is the best place to get one. The only thing is you have to remove it yourself and they will lift it from the vehicle and carry it to your truck. THe ones here are around 55.00 for the transmission, 12.00 if you want a 30 day replacement warranty and 8.00 for the core charge that you can get back. I buy a lot of parts from them and they have never done me wrong. Hope this helps.
