Ford Thunderbird Starting in the 1950s, this was a classic American sports cars, from the compact original of the 1950s, to the muscular hard top coupes of the 1980s and 1990s to the retro look of the 2003 model year, this car is, and always will be, an American classic.

Default 1992 "3.8L" LX THUNDERBIRD...

Hi guys... I have some important questions regarding a possible purchase of this car. I am submitting pics with this post also... I came apon this sweet looking Thunderbird today while me and the wife were car shopping. The interior is mint, and the exterior is excellent... The only problems are the right front passenger window won't roll down, and the front bumper is hanging low... The front bumper issue bothers us. What could cause that? I can physically move it up and down a few inches, and the headlight cases move a bit too.... Do you think it's been hit or is this common for the year vehicle that it is? Basically simple fix?

Ii has 143,000, but drives awesome. Smooth tranny shifting, and incredible handling on corners& over bumps. Steering is tight as can be, and air conditioning is like an icebox! He said he will take $2800 for the car cash... What do you think experts?

my 93 bird has the same problem..its been like this for a few years but never really bothered to take a look at it..2800 seems a little steep for a 92..im sure you could get him down a few hundred for the bumper being like it is...my bird is an lx with 190k and a mint body and interior..i bought it for 1600 3 years ago with 165k...2800 definetly sounds too much to me...........be sure to check and see if there is any coolant leaking!! birds are known for the head gaskets and intake gaskets to leak!!!

i got a 1990 thunderbird (base model not LX) had only 78,000 miles on it and both windows didnt roll down either....i guess those motors dont last long. i got two window motors from the junkyard (when the had electric parts for sale) for 22 bucks total and that fixed my problem. as for the price he is asking...thats too much.... go to recycler.com and compare other thunderbirds and their prices trust me u can find much better
also if u r worried about the accident get a carfax report
