I have a 96 cougar. The key chime always rings with the door open whether the key is in or not. I tried lubing the ignition cylinder thinking the pin was stuck but that didn't help. I think it is the key warning switch in the steering column. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what it might be before I tear the steering column apart?
