Default tuneups?

hey, i am wanting to do some tune ups to my '88 thunderbird do make it run faster, and get better gas milage. i want them to be cheap too. any suggestions? thanks

Lay off the gas pedal, use cruise control as much as possible, gradually get up to speed (like almost tick everyone off), oversize ties, like p225/70/15 on my 95TB,close the windows, dont use the AC, drive right upbehind semis so that the car gets "sucked in" the vacuum,
