Cool 1987 E350 How to get to Thermostat

Hi Folks, I just got a minnie winnie on a E350. I want to change out the thermostat. But it is so darn tight I can't imagine how to reach it.
Is there a trick? The top of the engine is tight to the top of the body of cab.
I can't get a hand in sideways or even see the elbow
thanks for any tips

If you remove the air cleaner box assy , that should permit easier access to the thermostat housing. Make sure you have all the gaskets and parts before starting the removal process. Depending on condition , might be a good time to replace upper rad hose and by pass hose if used.
