Odometer stopped working in my 1998 e150. Took cluster out and gears seem to be advancing fine. Everything else in cluster is working perfectly. I could replace the cluster but wondered if there was another quick fix. Possibly an external speedometer but not sure how to hook it up. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Yes that is it also check that there is no metal shavings in the rear end
