2012 Ford Expedition heater working everywhere EXCEPT driver's side
Hi, I hope I'm putting this in the right place...
I bought a 2012 Expedition when we were living in Florida, so we never noticed the heater problem before and I am hoping that maybe the dealership didn't notice either because if they did without saying something that would just be mean...
We moved BACK to Washington though, and the heater is DEFINITELY missed here. I've gone one full winter without it and so far through this one also, but it's really uncomfortable and I would really like to try to fix it if I can. I don't want to take it in and spend several hundred dollars for diagnostics if there are a few easy fixes that could possibly be a solution that I could check myself first.
The dashboard vents on the driver's side do not blow anything but cold air - not even *slightly* warm air. It doesn't matter what setting it is set to. There is hot/warm air everywhere else in the car.
What I did notice though, is that the previous owners installed a Pioneer AVH-4000NEX stereo where whatever the Expedition had before had been. I am really wondering if maybe something was disconnected or broken when they did that install. Also, there is a small microphone mounted above the steering wheel now, and a USB female cord in the center console, which is where I put my phone charger - because the USB outlet that is in the center console from the factory does not put out power.
Aside from that, I can't think of anything else that might be an indicator of a possible issue.
Does anyone have any ideas or input? I would really appreciate it so much.

@ZDASR Did you manage to solve the issue? What about the Pioneer unit would you recommend it?
Sorry for being off topic. Maybe you or somebody else can help me. I'm searching for a new stereo. I've been reading reviews about Pioneer decks but they are useless hype. All the positives are covered and they rarely mention the drawbacks. The DMH-1500NEX head unit landed on my short list. From all the blogs that I've read one stood out. The blogger was hyper critical about all brands and put me on the fence. Well this Pioneer deck review was OK until I've reached the shortcomings section. Does it really take 30s to load? How hard is to install these units anyways?
Any tips?
