Angry 2014 Expedition AC Issues

Back in August 2023 the AC was blowing but not cold air. We scheduled an appointment and 2 days before we were going to take it in to the mechanic we saw a huge puddle of fluid under the car. It was just water. Took it in to the dealership and $4k later we had the car back. I don't have the paperwork with me right now to get all of the details of the repair noted for this post but basically they said there were metal shavings all through the front and back AC. Now the other day the air is pumping warm air again. Take it to the dealership and they say all of the repairs from August are good and that we needed refrigerant and they recommended replacing the service port valves so we had them do that. They also noted in the paperwork that they charged the AC and that the AC was running at 43 degrees. We picked up the car and driving home it wasn't working. Then it worked for a few minutes and not it isn't working again. I'm getting really frustrated with feeling like we are getting jerked around and not getting a thorough inspection. Thoughts/ideas?

If,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,there were metal shavings circulating around in the system, the cause is usually the compressor going south.

The right way to do the repair is to flush all the components OR replace them. Things like modern condensers cannot be cleaned.
It is a time consuming job and expensive as you know.

If the system has developed a leak and is losing refrigerant, that should be covered by their warranty, IF they provided one.

So not knowing all of what they did , can't offer any addl suggestions.
