67 ford galaxie brakes

67 ford galaxie brakes
I had to replace the master cylinder on my 67 galaxie, the new one did not come with the rod, so i used the old one, now my brakes feel like they are dragging, is it possible that the old rod is to long. your help and advise is greatly appreciated
