99 Mountaineer hard to start when cold
I posted this in the new member thread, sorry, to repeat.
I have a 99 Mtnr, 126,000 miles, hard to start when cold. I took it to a mechanic and he told me the fuel pump line was losing pressure, or bleeding. He could replace the fuel pump for $500,or I could live with it by turning the key to the on position, waiting two seconds before cranking the engine, to give the fuel a chance to reach the injectors.
I chose the cheap option, but now that is getting to be harder and harder to start. Before I spend the $500, has anyone else had any similar experiences/fixes other than the fuel pump?
Thanks
