Default Accelerator sticking on 2002 F150

Anyone ever had an accelerator stick on an 2002 f150 and not release. It happened to me and not matter what I did it would not slow dow. I use my brake and finally cut off engine to stop. It still when back to full engine speed when I cranked it again. Worked linkage manually and then it atarted back up at normal idle.

Look inside the throttle body to see if there is a lot of carbon built up. If so, that could cause the throttle plate to hang. If that is not it, look at all the points where the linkage connects to another part of the linkage.
