Default After Market Mufflers.

I have a 1997 Ford ThunderBird and I have been pondering getting a new set of Mufflers for it, not because the ones on there are bad, but rather I would like to get a set that gives me a little boost in power while giving my Bird a bit more sound like you would hear on some of the higher end Mustangs. The problem is that the Internet is a pretty big place and I wind up giving up the search because I just do not know what would give me the right combination of sound and performance.

I also am concerned that the way my Mufflers on the Bird are set up they are kind of tucked under the back and you really do not see much pipe so I would like to get a set that has the angled pipes that show from the rear without having to buy expensive tips.

If anyone here has equipped their Bird with some good sounding Mufflers and Pipes, please let me know what you went with who makes them...etc.

Any other input would also be appreciated.

Thanks.
