hiya i have had a slight prang in my ford fiesta and the airbag has gone off i have now taken off the old steering wheel and thrown it in the bin and put on aftermaket race styled one but the airbag light is still on and wont go out ? i was told that if i put a 10amp fuse across the 2 airbag wires it would put the light out but this has not worked ?does any body have any idea how i can put the light out without having to remove the bulb!!

it will not go out untill you put a wheel witha airbag back in,where do you live by the way and do you have annual safety inspections like here in new brunswick because if you do it wont pass with a airbag light on.

 

Pull the dash and yank the bulb, or cut the wire, or pull the fuse. If you pull the fuse though you may lose other lights as well.
