My airbag light flashes then stayed on. I found a simple fix before taking your car to the dealer. There is a connector under your passenger seat for the seat belt. Go in the rear door behind your passenger seat, look under it and you will see 3 connectors. The white one on the right is the one. Push down on the clip on top, pull it apart and clean it. If it's clean just put it back together. Then check the wires that go out the front of the connector to the left side of your seat through the frame to the seat belt. Wiggle them to see if they are binding. That's all I did and the light went off. I did try the drivers seat first but that didn't shut off the light. I hope this helps and saves you about $400 for a new seat belt tensioner.
