Default Antitheift

So I can not reset my 2004 sport trac out of antitheift. Yes I have done all the reset things. I have a lock Smith coming Wed because I think the problem might be in the lock cylinder. New lock cylinder and keys... what if this doesn't f ix it. What next?
over the years I have had some weird problems with anti theft. But have been able to fix. This time no.
My truck was running fine. Then it sat unlocked windows open for 4 days. Went to use it and bam antitheift. Tried all the key tips. Undid battery cor 20 mins. Got back in and still nothing.got back out, put tailgate up. Got in started. let it run.for a while.turned it off.. started again.. turned it off. Later went out bam antitheift. Knowing that in the past. Blew air in ignition key area and it worked. So... I took .ock cylinder out and noticed that a part came was all wiggly and fell off. Why I have a lock Smith coming. However, I put it back in carefully and I can get it to turn but still in antitheift. I am wondering if the new cylinder and keys don't fix this. What else should I be fixing.
thanks cor help. I am stranded

It is always good to know the entire story so we have a better idea of how many things could be involved.

There must have been a reason the lock cyl was replaced, who knows what could have been damaged, don't be reluctant to provide all the info if you expect to obtain accurate info/suggestions.
