battery light (low voltage) keeps coming on.
Hello everyone,
I recently installed a new alternator in my 1999 Ford Windstar van 3.8L V6.
However, since I have replaced it, the battery light on the dash board keeps going on and off, when I drive.
The reason I changed my alternator, was due to battery kept dying every 4-5 days. The battery is about 3 months old (AC Delco 65-series).
Any suggestions on what could be causing this?
Thank you.

Check the voltage the alternator is putting out , and then try revving it up and see if the alternator is quitting charging .
You may have got a bad alternator.
Also check all connections at the battery and alternator, I don't know which style you have , but some of the alternators had problems with the plug that needs to be replaced , usually the rebuilds come with a new plug
