2003 Taurus keeps keeps shutting off
We have 2003 3l v6 ford taurus station wagon. It is becoming more common for the power to cut out completly forcing us to turn the ingnition on. Sometimes it will do it 1 or 2 times in a row. Some times before it starts to cut out the anti-theft light will come on sometimes it won't. It used to just shut down the power to the car but now it is getting so bad it is shutting down the power to the accessory connections. The spedometer and RPM Meter they flat line when it is getting ready to go. It also likes to stutter just before it dies. Seems to do it a little more common in bad weather or when it is cold but we haven't been able to tell for sure since it does it in nice weather as well. It seems like some sort of power relay is cutting out. Since the power is dying we do not get a computer code.
We took it into the shop but the technications have no idea what is going on and they would need to keep the car for a week or maybe to see if they could figure out what is going on. As is typical when going to the doctor it don't hurt no more.
Any help in getting a direction to look in or point out to the techs would help.
The car is under a warrenty so that does help some. We just would like to be able to point the techs to a more detailed beginning.
Thank you in advance for any help that comes from this post.

I had very similar problems to yours, doesn't want to stay running when the weather turned colder. I got a couple codes come up, said the fuel on both sides of the engine was running lean. Replaced the fuel filter, let the fuel cycle through the new filter for a few minutes, and now runs like it did before.
