I'm working on a 97 grand marquis 4.6L. The air compressor will not run unless I bypass the relay. It has proper amount of freon. I have replaced the relay and that did not fix the problem. I need adviceon what to check next.

I have traced the problem back to the ac/heater controls. Now I need info to recalibrate the control head as it is only blowing out the defrost.
