Default Cam Timing chain aligment???

I have a 2001 Lincoln Town Car with the 4.6 liter overhead cam engine (I assume the same as a ford Victoria). The left head gasket blew and in the replacement of same, the timing chain for the left drivers bank slipped. The timing for the left cam shaft is incorrect. The right bank is correct.

I can find no timing marks on the timing chain(such as silver links)and question the exact timing mark on the crankshaft. I have identified the timing dot on the left cam gear.

Could someone please give some insight on how to align the timing marks and how to idenify marks on the crankshaft and on the timing chain.

If you know an article that explains timing chain aligment procedures your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
