Hi i have a I.8 16v P reg escort si and I can lock from both driver and passenger, but can only unlock from passenger side.

I dont seem to have any "extra" noises from anywhere, the key turns, but nothing happens.

Ive taken door panel off and everything is connected.

I can unlock the driver door (and the rest of the car) if i put hand in and push interior lock handle.

Has anyone any ideas on what the problem may be and/or how to rectify it?
