E250 engine harness. 4.2
I purchased a 1999 e250 with a new long block that needed to be installed. After installation, I was told that the engine had the wrong engine harness. How difficult is it to replace the engine harness and should I spring for a new one or is a used OK?
What's wrong with the harness ? where is the one that used to be in the truck ? a used one should work fine.

Where did they come up with the engine had the wrong harness?
Last I knew. a long block is a complete engine, except a long block normally requires the external parts like harmonic balancer, valve covers, exhaust and intake manifolds, flywheel, timing cover and oil pan.
Therefore..with that said, you would be reusing all other parts from the old engine which would include the original engine/wiring harness. What did they do??? Chop up the old harnes to remove the original engine?
