I've got a 2001 escape (v6, 2wd) tonight, after it had been turned off and the key removed the all four marker lights lit up very dimly and the steady tone that sounds if you leave your lights on started sounding, but it sounded like the battery was dying. Nothing on the dash lit up, and I checked the battery (still at full charge) and when I attempted, it started right back up without hesitation. I hooked up the code reader just for the hell of it and it's not reading any problems. I have disconnected the battery until I can figure out whats up (dying sound and the dim lights come on as soon as it's reconnected). I'm thinking I have a short somewhere but am unsure at this point, any input is appreciated
