I`m thinking of buying an escort diesel van,with about 100,000 miles on the clock.What should I look out for mechanically on these vans?.Any good/bad years?,any other info greatly appreciated,Thanks.

Um, all I can tell you is what I know about Escorts, American Versions. The diesel is probley a little 2.2L\2.3L Mazda Diesel, both used in Ranger pickups, decent engines, gutless as all hell though.

Most Escorts we're good cars, EXCEPT the 94-96 models, seems like they went downhill bad in that time frame.
