Exclamation F-150 Transmission conversion Auto to Standard

Alright yall, I have a 2001 F-150 with a 5.4 in it, i need a tranny for my truck and was considering converting to a standard, how hard is this to do and cost effiecient? also will a 6spd bolt up to my motor, maybe a bellhousing swap?

I do not think it would be cost effective. Since you have an automatic, the PCM controls the shift point. You might need to modify some mounts and wiring. Then there is the wiring where you would need to ad a few switches and probably a PCM for the standard shift transmission. You would also need the clutch pedal and all linkage as I am sure you already know. Usually Ford will not wap one style transmission to another. Not really suere on the swapping hough. Have never attempted it.
