F 350 chronic front wheel bearing failure
New user here. I have a 2013 F350 King Ranch Lariat with 153k on it. I had my long time service guy replace my front wheel bearings last December along with several tie rod ends and control arms, basic front end rebuild. About 3 months ago the bearings failed and were replaced under warrantee. He just replaced them again today. There is no obvious reason, the bearings were OEM first and another premium brand was used the second time. He has been servicing vehicles for 30 years and has never seen this before in any heavy duty trucks regardless of brand. Has anyone ever heard of this or seen this problem first hand? He has speculated that it may be something to do with my aftermarket wheels. I do not think that is it because the wheels have been on the truck longer than the problem timing wise. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you
There have been problems with some rotors with manufacturing defects that got out to the public.
Where did the "So called", OEM rotors come from, suspect they were not obtained from a Ford dealership parts dept.
Please do a lot of folks a favor and let us know if this was the case.
