Where can I find an engine wire harness for a 1996 F250 460cc?

 

Removing and reinstalling a complete wire harness leaves a lot of room for connection problems. If there were 17 wires there could be 17 reasons for a problem.

Can we ask what happened to require replacing a complete harness?

 

We just replaced the engine, a drop-in. The mechanic says the wiring is brittle and falling apart so he wants to replace it.

 

Sometimes it is better t just replace the part of the wire that is brittle instead of the entire harness. If done one at a time, there is less chance for a mix up.

There is nothing like actually seeing the problem as compared to thinking what may be actually bad, so just how bad is the wiring?
